Building & Property Inspections – Auckland

WHAT INSPECTION SERVICES DO DRYSCAN OFFER?

At Dryscan, we offer a range of different services to ensure your home is dry and safe. Our pre-purchase or pre-sale house inspections will ensure you end up in a family home that is healthy and happy rather than leaky, unsound and in need of expensive repairs.

Infrared Moisture Inspection
In many cases, moisture can be hidden within walls, slowly doing damage with no visible evidence to the naked eye. At Dryscan we use sophisticated infrared technology including NZ Standard moisture meters to detect moisture. Infrared technology uses the part of the light spectrum the human eye cannot see. These cameras are sensitive to the slightest variations in temperature and therefore have the ability to detect moisture hidden within walls.

Building Inspection
The words ‘leaky buildings’ and ‘moisture’ strike fear into many people. The response is often “No, I don’t have a problem. Its just the cold side of the house”.
But after 15 years and 10,000 inspections, we stopped counting. Not all that failed had serious issues but they still needed addressing before significant damage occurs. The moisture detectives at Dryscan can help diagnose where and what is affected and how bad it is. We use state of the art infrared technology to see into your walls and ceilings to show thermal anomalies and then track the moisture to its source.

Bryce Hall of Dryscan knows only too well. He’s lived through a leaky home which put stress on his health, marriage, family and the joinery business. “When I saw this infrared technology, I knew that this would help a lot of people with leaks and moisture issues, or to help them avoid buying a leaky home.”

Track and Trace Inspection
Do you have a single or annoying leak that you can’t find the source of? You’ve had your builder, roofer and plumber look with no luck?
Call Dryscan and get a track and Trace Inspection and report. We will find the source of your leak or you do not have to pay.

It is essential that leaks are not only stopped as soon as possible, but also that the affected areas are dried out once the cause of the leak has been found and repaired. Our dynamic team at Dryscan can safely and effectively dry out any affected areas.

HOW DOES THE DRYSCAN PROCESS WORK?

A member of the Dryscan team will come to your house for a pre-purchase or pre-sale inspection and begin with an internal inspection of each room. We’ll check every wall and ceiling (where possible) including top and bottom plates using thermal imaging and a non-invasive moisture meter.

We will then do an external check focusing on areas where common problems occur such as roofs, decks, balustrades, cladding, flashing and ground clearance.
Following on from that we’ll then provide a verbal report followed by a written report so that you can buy with confidence or sell with a good conscience. Best of all the results are instant so you’ll find out right away!

Our prices start as low as $300 and average at around $700.

Call Dryscan before you buy or sell a home, or simply for peace of min in your existing home.
